This past week was full of tremendous moments for our industry and for our company. On Wednesday, the O’Reilly Strata Conference kicked off with an announcement from President Obama, naming DJ Patil as the country’s first Data Scientist. Our industry has completely transformed since the first Strata event 5 years ago – from a world where few companies were able to tap into Big Data and Advanced Analytics, to a world where no company or government can imagine doing business without the use of Advanced Analytics at scale.
Customers and partners joined us throughout the event to discuss the various use-cases Advanced Analytics applies to – from customer intelligence, to business process optimization, to data discovery and governance, all the way using Alpine Chorus to build data-driven products. Gary Cottrell, Director of Strategic Solutions at Xactly did an outstanding job taking the audience through what it takes to build data products in the intensely competitive sales compensation industry (feel free the watch the on-demand webinar here).
And to top off the week, on Friday, Gartner released their 2015 Magic Quadrant for Advanced Analytics Platforms and named Alpine Data Labs a “Visionary”. If you are looking to select an Advanced Analytics solution, we are organizing a webinar to help you understand how to best put the Gartner Magic Quadrant to use – be sure to attend it. Details below!
