Let’s Demystify Data Science in Under 10 Minutes.
This Wednesday, January 22nd, we’ll be debuting the first edition of the Workout of the Week series! The inspiration for this series came from CrossFit, a strength and conditioning program with the aim of improving, among other things, muscular strength, cardio-respiratory endurance, and flexibility. High Intensity WODs (or Workout of the Day) are at the core of CrossFit and generally last less than 10 minutes. Why not apply the same philosophy to data with short exercises for your data? These workouts will allow you to get your data in SHAPE!
The goal of each workout is to start with an empty Alpine workspace and apply simple data science to take advantage of your data assets. We start with a blank slate and build a useful workflow in ten minutes or less. For each workout, we’ll describe the data, the analysis, and a video explanation of how the analysis was completed.
The first workout of the series will highlight data gathered from three wearable personal fitness devices and take a look at the data to see what it’s tell us. Upcoming topics in the Workout of the Week series include:
